#5: MARTINA HRABALOVÁ: We all have prejudices, even if few people admit it

19. 5. 2021 09:12 Author: Mgr. Ondřej Vítů

The fifth episode of the Polytechnicast podcast brings another continuation of the series of interviews with students of bachelor's degree programs and disciplines of the VŠPJ. Martina Hrabalová, a first-year student of the combined form of studying Health and Social Worker at the Department of Social Work of the VŠPJ, visited the recording studio this time. Martina is a field worker of the SOVY program, which tries to prevent social exclusion of families and individuals. In the course of the interview, she told us what problems the clients of the SOVY field programme have to face in the time of the COVID-19 epidemic, which situations she perceives as the most challenging in her work or what moments bring her the greatest joy. We also learned which subjects taught at SOVY are most helpful in her work, and that she has long been helping disadvantaged groups of people in her free time as part of the Food Not Bombs collective, which distributes vegetarian food to homeless people.
