Topic Topic description Course date Course time Lecturer
Percentages, probability The aim of this module is to consolidate understanding of the basic principles of working with percentages and probability and to develop the ability to apply them correctly when solving practical problems. 20 July – 24 July 2026 19:00–20:00 Miroslav Hanáček
Functions In this module, we will focus on basic types of functions, their properties and graphs. We will learn to read important information from a graph and see that different types of functions behave differently – some grow continuously, others oscillate, and others approach a limit that they never cross. 27 July – 9 August 2026 18:00–20:00 Martin Prokop
Manipulating expressions The aim of this module is to revise the basic rules for arithmetic operations with expressions, practise working with fractions and powers, and learn how to convert expressions into a simpler or more suitable form. 27 July – 9 August 2026 18:00–20:00 Martin Prokop
Equations, systems of equations The aim of this module is to revise the basic procedures for solving linear and quadratic equations and other types of equations, and to refresh your knowledge of working with systems of equations. 10–14 August 2026 18:00–20:00 Hana Kotoučková
Inequalities The aim of this module is to revise the basic types of inequalities and methods for solving them, and to learn how to record the results clearly. 17–23 August 2026 18:00–20:00 Martina Zámková
Trigonometry In this module, we will focus on the basic concepts of trigonometry, familiarise ourselves with the main functions and their properties, and demonstrate how they help us solve equations, inequalities and practical problems. 24–28 August 2026 18:00–20:00 Andrea Kubišová
Analytical geometry In this module, we will focus on basic objects in the plane and in space and demonstrate how to describe and analyse them using coordinates. 24–28 August 2026 18:00–20:00 Stanislava Dvořáková
