NPO - 7.4 Supporting the sustainability strategy for green skills in education at the VŠPJ

KA2 - innovation of courses in study programmes
Key activity is focused on the creation and innovation of compulsory and mandatory elective courses in technically and economically oriented study programmes. Within the framework of KA2 activity, 2 new courses will be created - one, compulsory, for the study programme Applied Engineering (course ""Plasma and Hydrogen Technologies"), the other, compulsory elective, for the study programme Finance and Management (course "Sustainability and Circular Economy"). Furthermore, 4 compulsory courses belonging to the study programmes Finance and Management and Tourism will be innovated. The aim is to include in the study programmes current topics related to sustainability, green transformation and modern technologies that have the potential to be used in applications with sustainability principles.

KA3 - Long Life Learning courses
The objective of the key activity is to develop three occupation-oriented lifelong learning programmes focused on expanding competencies (upskilling) that will meet national standards for micro-certificates. The newly created lifelong learning programmes are based on the current requirements of the application sphere, social trends and the professional focus of the VŠPJ and will promote green skills. These include courses on "Quality Management and CSR", "Sustainable Development and Circular Economy" and "Methods for Calculating the Carbon Footprint of a Business and Product". The courses are sponsored by the Department of Economic Studies at the VŠPJ. Graduates of the courses will acquire knowledge and skills in the area of the courses' professional focus and green skills, as well as soft skills such as communication, critical thinking, creativity and collaboration to facilitate decision-making and problem solving in a rapidly changing environment. They will be motivated to protect the environment, be able to identify opportunities for improvement, challenge the status quo, and solve problems through innovation to positively impact the ecological footprint.

KA4 - Sustainability Strategy
The objective of the activity is to develop and adopt a Sustainable Development Strategy at the VŠPJ, which focuses on achieving a balance between economic growth, social development and environmental protection.
The Sustainable Development Strategy will be linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were compiled by the United Nations.
For the successful implementation of the strategy, practical measures will be specified in action plans.

KA5 - Strategic Partnerships
The aim of the activity is to establish strategic partnerships within the framework of scientific and research cooperation, cooperation with the application sphere (internships, excursions, involvement of excellent staff and experts in teaching, etc.), cooperation with the state and public sphere, educational institutions, research organisations, etc., both nationally and internationally. We are planning to enter into two strategic partnerships with partners from industry who will collaborate in the implementation of KA2 and KA3.
