We are launching the only micro-certificate program in the Vysočina Region! We will teach you how to manage ESG in a way that brings real value not only to companies but to all stakeholders. We have developed the programme in collaboration with leading practitioners and build it on concrete examples and practical demonstrations.
This micro-certificate program focuses on the practical aspects of sustainability management and corporate social responsibility (CSR). The program is sponsored by the Department of Economic Studies at the College of Polytechnics Jihlava.
Sustainability management is a modern approach to corporate governance that links the achievement of economic goals with respect to the environment, society and ethical principles. It includes strategic planning, impact measurement and communication on environmental, social and governance (ESG) responsibilities to enable organizations to thrive in the long term.
The evidence of completion of the training is a micro-certificate worth 4 credits, which is in line with national standardisation and European recommendations. The document can be shared with other entities in the field of education and the labour market, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The document is used for the recognition of learning outcomes in further studies.The course is suitable for participants who want to expand their competencies in sustainability management, gain up-to-date knowledge of ESG regulations and standards, and learn how to practically apply sustainable strategies in their organizations. It is designed especially for representatives of business companies, but also for others who are (or will be) involved in the development and implementation of sustainability strategies, ESG reporting and strategic social responsibility management.
The objective of the training programme is to gain professional superstructure in the field of sustainability management and strategic corporate social responsibility (CSR) management. The programme provides practical knowledge and develops the skills needed to identify and assess the impact of organisations, planand implement sustainable strategies, and to produce ESG reporting, including related communications and ESG risk management.
Graduates will develop competencies in environmental and social impact analysis, strategic planning and sustainability management. The programme also focuses on leadership in ESG, working with key stakeholders and transparent sustainability communication.
The programme is designed in line with the Sustainability Manager Qualification Standard and provides a professional specialisation that will enable graduates to make strategic decisions in ESG.
The training programme consists of three modules, each divided into three thematic blocks. The modules take participants from the basic principles of sustainability to strategic planningand practical implementation of ESG in an organization.
First Module provides a basic understanding of sustainability, its principles and regulatory framework at global, European and national levels. Participants learn to identify key environmental and social impacts of organisations, assess their significance and apply the concept of dual materiality. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking and risk assessment and the opportunities associated with sustainability. The second module focuses on ESG reporting, transparent communication and greenwashing prevention. Participants will gain practical skills for preparing ESG reports, engaging key stakeholders and presenting sustainability ethically to the public and internal teams. The Third Module focuses on strategic planning, leadership and ESG management in an organization. Students will learn how to link sustainability to corporate strategy, set measurable goals, manage ESG teams, and monitor the achievement of sustainability goals.
The training program includes 104 hours of training that can be completed within 11 weeks of intensive study divided into full-time classes, online classes and self-study. The face-to-face teaching consists of lectures and interactive exercises, the online part includes consultations with teachers, and the self-study part allows the participant to learn independently at his/her own pace in the learning environment of the VŠPJ.

The full-time part of the training will be divided into 6 full-time teaching blocks (4-6 hours per day) and will take place in the professional classrooms of the College of Polytechnics Jihlava (Tolstého 16, Jihlava) on Thursday afternoons. The teaching schedule will be published on the website under the "Schedule" tab.
Assessment in the micro-certificate programme in Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility Management is designed to support the ongoing activity of participants, to take into account different forms of learning (self-study, assignments, discussions, presentations) and to enable a transparent and fair assessment of the results achieved, with an emphasis on practical application in the organisation that the participant represents. A minimum of 75% participation in both face-to-face and online sessions is a prerequisite for successful completion. The total score (max. 100 points) consists of completion of the LMS blocks (27 points), active participation in the discussion forums (16 points), completion of the interim assignments (27 points) and the final presentation with defense (30 points).
Registration for the educational program begins with an electronic application. Admission is determined by the date of application and fulfillment of the admission requirements (see below). Participation in the educational program does not require an entrance exam. Course capacity is limited.
