Selected Chapters of College Mathematics - Course characteristics

Scope

This leveling course is aimed at reviewing selected chapters of college mathematics that prove problematic in practice or crucial for further study. Emphasis is placed on the systematic understanding of concepts, the correct use of mathematical methods, and the solution of standard and more challenging problems. Teaching is carried out in the form of active work of students in order to consolidate knowledge and eliminate the most common difficulties.

For whom

This course is intended primarily for applicants to our Masters study programme, both graduates of our Bachelors programme and students coming from other universities. It is suitable for all those who wish to consolidate and strengthen their knowledge of undergraduate mathematics before starting their Masters.

Goal

The aim of the course is to deepen understanding of key topics in undergraduate mathematics, remove any confusion and strengthen the ability to solve more complex mathematical problems independently.

How the course works

Each session lasts approximately 120 minutes. The introductory part is devoted to an explanation of the chosen topic and then to practicing basic examples, focusing on a thorough understanding of the material discussed and its context.
