National Recovery Plan

Period of implementation: 1 September 2022 - 30 June 2024

Specific objective A1: DIGITALISATION OF EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND STUDY AGENDAS

Supervisor SC:Ing. Martin Skoumal, DiS.

Annotation. This includes, in particular, upgrading the equipment of classrooms and lecture theatres with technologies to ensure mainly hybrid forms of teaching, increasing storage capacities and upgrading backup equipment. In connection with the digitisation of processes, an upgrade of the existing filing system is planned in order to ensure all tasks related to the study agenda and at the same time meet the digitisation obligations arising from legislation. In connection with the development of digital learning and the digitisation of study agendas, staff involved in the provision of educational activities and the file management of the VŠPJ will be trained.

Specific objective A2: DEVELOPMENT IN THE FIELD OF DISTANCE LEARNING, ONLINE LEARNING AND BLENDED LEARNING

Supervisor SC: Ing. Martina Kuncová, Ph.D.

Annotation: Within the implementation of SC A2, methodological support related to innovation of online, hybrid and distance learning will be provided. Specific objective A2 will focus on the preparation of methodological materials and methodological support and training of academic staff and students who actively use or want to use digital forms of learning, as well as on the innovation of existing or creation of new digital learning materials that will be an integral part of the learning support in LMS Moodle. The training and methodological support will be aimed both at the acquisition of best practices and recommended procedures in digital forms of learning and in the development of digital learning materials.

Specific objective A3: CREATION OF NEW PROFESSIONALLY FOCUSED STUDY PROGRAMMES

Supervisor SC: Ing. Martina Kuncová, Ph.D.

Annotation. By preparing the accreditation of these study programmes, the VŠPJ responds to the current and future needs of the labour market. The solution also includes the acquisition of material and technical support to enable and support the development of these new study programmes as well as existing technically oriented study programmes. The development of medical and technical study programmes is in line with the Strategic Plan of the VŠPJ, the requirements of the regional labour market in particular and reflects the current needs of the healthcare sector (ensuring quality healthcare) and industry (digitisation, robotics 4.0). The field of industrial automation, robotics and Industry 4.0 are areas with very rapid development of technologies, standards and technical equipment, therefore the project requires funds for the acquisition of modern laboratory equipment (Industrial Automation Laboratory Equipment) corresponding to the current needs and standards used in industry. The above mentioned teaching infrastructure will be used e.g. in the subjects Means of Industrial Automation, Technologies and Standards of Industry 4.0, Industry 4.0, Theory of Automatic Control. In addition, the mass spread of parts production using 3D printing technologies, especially in the automotive and aerospace industries, is changing the standards and methods of design and dimensioning of parts produced by this technology, where these parts have different mechanical properties than parts produced by conventional methods. It is precisely the significant changes of innovative technological procedures compared to the procedures used in industry so far that must be implemented in the form of teaching and thus prepare students for their application in industrial practice. An important part of teaching at the VŠPJ is practical teaching in the form of laboratory tasks, implementation of semester and final theses and this can only be carried out on highly specific material and technical facilities (Testing equipment for creep measurement) and teaching infrastructure (Laboratory and demonstration tasks). This teaching infrastructure will be used, for example, in the courses Materials Science I and II, Manufacturing Technology I and II, Elasticity and Strength I and II.

Specific objective A4: COURES AIMED AT EXPANSION OF SKILLS (UPSKILLING) OR REQUALIFICATION (RESKILLING)

Supervisor of SC: RNDr.Ing. Lenka Cimbálníková, Ph.D., MBA

Annotation: The aim of the solution in SC A4 is to create and pilot test three lifelong learning programmes oriented to the performance of profession and focused on expanding competencies (upskilling), which will meet national standards for microcertificates.  The newly created lifelong learning programmes will be based on the analysis of educational needs and current and future requirements of the application sphere. On the other hand, they will reflect the professional focus of the school and its professional departments. Based on the persistent demand from application partners based in the Vysočina Region for the preparation and implementation of lifelong learning courses, we expect to create courses focused on the following areas: economic, technical, social. The created programmes of continuing professional education focused on upskilling will reflect the requirements formulated at the European level in relation to microcertificates and relevant results of the joint project in specific objective C1.

Specific objective C1: Improving the progression of learning at university level through microcredentials

Supervisor SC: RNDr.Ing. Lenka Cimbálníková, Ph.D., MBA

Annotation: the aim of the project is to improve the permeability of education at the level of universities by means of microcertificates and digitalization of activities related to the provision of educational activities and administrative tasks associated with the study agenda. It is a joint project of 26 public universities. Their mutual cooperation will result in ensuring mutual compatibility of solutions in the field of micro-certificates and digitisation of related activities. At the same time, this cooperation will have a positive impact on the economy, efficiency and effectiveness of the use of funds. In particular, the project will analyse the current state of play in the field of different types of documents at national level, and will analyse foreign experiences in order to find the most appropriate foreign experience. A methodology will be developed for the recognition of existing training in courses that can fulfil the requirements for micro-certificates, a proposal for a unified form of micro-certificate, the unification of the outcomes of different forms of short-term training using the ECTS credit system. The digitisation of this area will consist in the creation of a common online catalogue of courses of public universities that fulfil the requirements for microcertificates and the creation of a unified system for the verification of the results of smaller forms of education at universities, including a repository.

Specific objective C2: Security of distance forms of learning

Supervisor SC: Ing. Martin Skoumal, DiS.

Annotation: The project aims to systematically ensure the comprehensive safety of distance learning, including directly related activities, both from a technical and procedural point of view, based on existing recommendations, standards, procedures or methodologies. The project will analyse existing or deploy suitable collaborative platforms for supporting distance education at individual HEIs, but the primary focus will be on their proper security from the perspective of cyber and information security, with the implementation of proven protection methods. The elimination of unwanted external influences or systemic risks arising from current practices will be achieved through a combination of advanced security mechanisms of the chosen collaborative platform and the application of security policies that meet the requirements for distance education implementation. From a procedural point of view, the project will look at ways of securing distance learning and the verification of learning outcomes, including state final examinations, following the experience gained after the transition to distance learning since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, but also based on the results of national and international expert studies in this field. Thus, the project will address in particular the issues related to securing and verifying the identity of students for the purposes of administrative activities, teaching and verification of learning outcomes, provability of participant records or avoiding the effects of undesirable influences and risks associated with distance education.Last but not least, the project also aims to set up appropriate security in terms of the transfer or long-term storage of learning materials and documents related to teaching and verification of learning outcomes in an appropriately secured repository. In addition, the project will also take into account, at all levels, the compliance of the project outputs with standards for accessibility standards for users with disabilities to applications and documents.

Specific objective C3: Digitisation of activities directly related to the provision of educational activities and administrative tasks associated with the learning agenda

Head of SC: Bc. Milan Novák

Annotation: The project is aimed at fulfilling the objectives set out in the NPO Call, which are to issue digital documents of studies, ensure their verifiability, address the requirements placed on students in relation to the study agenda and servicing of studies, from enrolment to graduation, addressing feasible changes towards the digitisation of the agendas under the responsibility of the HEI, both in terms of student activities and related activities of the HEI or digitisation of processes, automated exchange of documents and information, implementation of the "only once" principle in the study agenda, incl. Corresponding development, adaptation of the form and content of information and other support systems.Within the project it will be necessary to adapt the environment of information and other related systems related to the performance of the study agenda and study servicing for students and staff of the university in such a way as to impose minimal requirements on students for document or data documentation and to eliminate to the maximum extent possible the need for physical presence at the university when dealing with the study agenda, to make the said information systems user-friendly for all stakeholders, incl. Language versions and appropriate web design for different display devices, that the exchange of information needed for the execution of the agenda is automated to the maximum extent possible, or that the electronic method of requesting it is enabled, where documentation is kept digitally, documents are available digitally and their verifiability is ensured (also for third parties). The outputs are aimed at reducing the administrative burden of the study agenda and study servicing. The objectives and outputs of the project are directly related to the provision of educational activities and administration related to the study agenda. They also include improving the qualifications or training of staff involved in the administration of the study agenda, updating internal regulations as necessary, creating methodologies or adjusting internal procedures. A significant part of the project focuses on the fulfilment of legislative conditions in the areas mentioned above.
