The project wants to bring the theoretical knowledge of the students of the Higher School of Social Work to the same level, which is mainly the first part of the project - the creation of study guides. The practical competences of students are then addressed by the other parts of the project, which aim at training in an entrepreneurial approach and meeting the requirements of practical workplaces.

grant title: OP Education for Competitiveness, 2.2 Higher Education
project promoter: College of Technology and Economics in České Budějovice
period of implementation: 1 November 2011 - 31 January 2014
annotation:

This project is aimed at innovating the outcomes and teaching methods of undergraduate programmes in non-university type universities (NUTs). Its implementation will familiarize the range of staff involved
in HEIs with modern methods and practices in tertiary education. The participating HEIs will then, according to their capabilities and the conditions of accreditation, apply this knowledge, especially in terms of learning outcomes (after discussion with representatives from practice), teaching methods and student assessment, to accredited programmes in the fields of construction, logistics and economics. The project will also seek to link credits with assessment methods and learning load of modules designed on learning outcomes as well as to create a coherent system compatible at VŠTE and VŠLG. The pilot testing of the new methods and procedures will include the participation of a sample of VŠLG students in the applicant's weekly project-based learning sessions, which are unusual in the Czech context - specifically the Project and International Business Week courses. After evaluation, the findings will be summarised in a handbook and presented at a final conference.
