Disciplinary Commission

The Disciplinary Committee is a self-governing body of a public university that hears disciplinary offences of students of the school and submits a proposal for a decision to the Rector.

The competence of the Disciplinary Committee is determined by Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to Other Acts (the Higher Education Act), and its proceedings are governed by the Disciplinary Regulations for Students of the Public Higher Education Institution.

The members of the Disciplinary Committee of the VŠPJ shall be appointed and dismissed by the Rector from among the members of the academic community of the University after prior approval of the Academic Senate of the VŠPJ. Half of the members of the Disciplinary Committee of the VŠPJ shall be students. The Disciplinary Board of the HEI elects and dismisses its chairperson from among its members. The term of office of the members of the Disciplinary Board of the Academy of Performing Arts shall not exceed two years.
