Centralised development projects implemented in 2017

Creation of an active network of specific departments of universities in the Czech Republic, which provide service in the field of grant programs - project departments, science and research departments, service centers for CŽV, international relations offices and technology transfer centers. The project has 2 main objectives:

1. To enable the participating HEIs to share good practice on the issues of searching for appropriate grant programmes, project life cycle, communication flows within universities in relation to .
2. Establishing cooperation to share specific capacities - mutual learning in project issues with a focus on specific university-type environments, e.g. analysis of calls and specific conditions for operational programmes, joint consultancy activities with managing authorities (understanding tender documentation, definition of target group, uniformity of annex forms, etc.), sharing translations of tender documentation of foreign grant funds, etc.
3. Set up an effective way of project and grant management in own institution

The Czech universities operate three economic information systems: iFIS, EIS Magion, SAP. Groups of schools operating each system have built organisational structures (cooperation networks) and mechanisms aimed at sharing know-how and capacities and managed communication with suppliers. In 2016, as part of a joint development project of the 13+ type aimed at improving data quality, interlinkages between these networks were also established, exploiting synergies.
The intention for 2017 is to make targeted use of these linkages and functional cooperation across all HEIs and, in areas of common interest, to implement the development of the three systems on the basis of joint analyses and proposals for solutions, i.e. to make the most effective use of the available professional, capacity and financial resources of the HEIs.

The aim of the project is to create a partnership network of universities that will collaborate on the creation and content of a national web portal
and electronic magazine Universitas, which will deliver quality, in-depth and verified information from the fields of science, education, research and higher education in an engaging way. This will provide the wider academic community with a regular source of information as well as a discussion platform for sharing experiences and debating current issues. The project aims to create  a professional platform that will increase the quality of services provided
at Czech universities and the prestige of Czech higher education.
