VŠPJ has launched the process aimed at securing the HR Excellence in Research Award

PHASE A: The decision of the College of Polytechnics Jihlava to participate in the HR Excellence in Research process – completed

The College of Polytechnics Jihlava (VŠPJ) has taken another significant step towards supporting researchers and developing a high-quality working environment.

PHASE B: Submission and acceptance of the Letter of Endorsement and Commitment – completed

In May 2026, VŠPJ submitted to the European Commission a letter expressing its support for the European Charter for Researchers and its commitment to implementing its principles through the process leading to the HR Excellence in Research Award.

The letter was accepted by the European Commission on 15 June 2026. The deadline for submitting the initial phase documentation is 15 June 2027.

PHASE C: Initiation phase – in progress

Following acceptance of the letter of support and commitment, VŠPJ has entered the initiation phase. During this phase, it will prepare a process description, a GAP analysis based on the 20 principles of the new European Charter for Researchers, an OTM-R checklist and an action plan using the European Commission’s e-tool. The supporting documentation will be based on an analysis of internal documents, institutional data, a staff questionnaire and consultations with academic, research and other relevant staff at the university.
