Children’s University 2026

The first year of the VŠPJ Children’s University was wonderful proof that discovery, curiosity and the joy of learning know no age limits. From 7 to 10 July, the VŠPJ campus was transformed into a place brimming with children’s enthusiasm, experiments, new experiences and unforgettable moments.

Over the course of four days, twenty young participants learnt just how diverse and inspiring the world of higher education can be. Through interactive workshops and hands-on activities, the children explored the fields of healthcare, engineering, mathematics, social work, economics and tourism. They tried their hand at providing first aid and carrying out technical experiments, gained an insight into the worlds of finance and travel, and discovered that learning can, above all, be fun and an adventure.

The entire programme was organised by academic staff and experts from the various departments at VŠPJ, who introduced the children to their fields of study in an accessible and playful way. The opportunity to try out new things for themselves was one of the greatest benefits of the whole event.

The first year of the programme culminated in a children’s graduation ceremony, attended by VŠPJ management, academic staff and the families of the young graduates. The children received their diplomas to thunderous applause from their parents, grandparents and friends. For many of them, this was their first real encounter with a university environment and an experience they will remember for a long time to come.

We would like to thank all the children for their enthusiasm, their parents for their trust, and our partners who supported the launch of the first year.

We believe that the VŠPJ Children’s University has laid the foundations for a new tradition and that, in the years to come, we will once again welcome new young explorers who wish to discover the world of higher education through their own experiences.
