Project description:

The project addresses the expansion of cooperation between the University of Applied Sciences and the application sector. It will innovate teaching methods, approaches and guidance for students with a variety of educational and specific needs. Study programmes will be newly accredited with emphasis on the requirements of the labour market, new study programmes will be prepared with experts from practice, long-term internships will be part of the programmes. VŠPJ will strengthen international cooperation. Internal quality assessment will be introduced, including the evaluation of the activities of academics, with the use of the outputs in the strategic management of the HEI.

KA2 - Improvement of educational activities and modern teaching trends

The aim of the activity is to improve the quality of educational activities. It will be achieved primarily through the introduction of modern teaching, technological and methodological practices, promoting distance learning, specialisation in teaching and closer links between students and teachers.

Activity outputs:

Creation of methodologies and implementation of new forms of distance education
Implementation of other forms of quality

KA3 - Creation of new and modification of the content of existing bachelor and master study programmes/fields

The main objective is to increase the quality of education at the university and its relevance to the needs of the labour market.

Activity Outputs:

Accreditation/reaccreditation of new Bc. and MSc programmes/fields
Adjustments to the content of Bc. of study programmes / fields of study in accordance with the needs of the labour market
Increase in the number, quality and duration of work experience of students and academic staff in the application sphere
Involvement of practitioners in teaching

KA4 - Introduction and innovation of systems for monitoring labour market needs for graduates of study programmes/fields

The main objective of this activity is the introduction of new and innovation of existing systems for monitoring labour market needs for graduates of all study programmes/fields of study of the VŠPJ, together with systematic research on the adaptability of graduates to the labour market and strengthening the links between the university and its graduates

Outputs of the activity:

Creation of a system to monitor the labour market needs of graduates
Examination of the adaptability of graduates to the labour market
Strengthening links between the VŠPJ and its graduates

KA5 - Strengthening internationalisation

The main objective is to develop international cooperation and international partnerships and thus strengthen the internationalisation of educational and creative activities at the VŠPJ.

Internationalization of the HEI environment
Expansion of student and staff mobility
Development of international cooperation
Involving foreign experts in the activities of the VŠPJ

KA6 - Improving the availability of counselling and support services

The aim of the activity is to improve the availability and development of services of the Counselling and Career Centre of the VŠPJ.

Activity Outputs:

Development of the VŠPJ Counselling and Career Centre
Increasing the competencies of the Counselling and Career Centre staff, academic staff and THP in working with students with a variety of learning needs (including students with specific needs)
Sharing experiences with other HEIs
Facilitating the transition of students from secondary schools to higher education
Supporting motivation to study and career guidance

KA7 - Adaptation of the learning environment

The main objective of the activity is to reduce students' academic failure.

Reflections to reduce academic failure
Providing feedback from students
Creating and implementing compensatory courses

KA8 - Developing internal quality assurance systems and conducting external assessments for quality improvement

The main objective of this activity is to develop and implement a comprehensive internal quality assurance system for educational and creative activities and related activities.

KA9 - Introducing and developing effective management principles

The main objective of this activity is the introduction and subsequent development of strategic, process and project management at all relevant levels of the college.
