General information

The College of Polytechnics Jihlava has the status of a research organization and develops its creative activities in the areas of basic and applied research. Academic staff of the school are working on projects of the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic, the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic or the Ministry of Industry and Trade. They provide professional services to external organisations through innovation vouchers and contract research. Through a number of centralized development projects, the College of Polytechnics cooperates with other universities.

College staff successfully and increasingly publish the results of their creative activities in journals with an impact factor, actively participate in prestigious conferences, publish professional monographs, and achieve high-quality application outputs. The best publications produced at the College of Polytechnics are evaluated annually in the Opus Optimum competition. The high content and formal level of creative production of the college are regularly appreciated in domestic and international forums. New professional projects and pedagogical innovations are supported through an internal grant competition.

The College of Polytechnics Jihlava publishes two professional journals: LOGOS POLYTECHNIKOS, included in the list of peer-reviewed non-impacted periodicals published in the Czech Republic and on the ERIH PLUS list of peer-reviewed professional and scientific journals, and Studia Turistica, included in the ERIH PLUS list. In addition to these two titles, the school also publishes non-periodical publications, especially those related to the region.
