#3: JITKA FALTÝNOVÁ: Every birth is completely different

5. 5. 2021 06:52 Author: Mgr. Ondřej Vítů

Wednesday 5 May is International Midwives' Day. We are delighted to bring you an episode of the Polytechnicast podcast with Jitka Faltýnová, a third year student of midwifery at the Department of Health Studies at the University of Applied Sciences Jitka Faltýnová, on this day when we commemorate the importance of midwives in the health care of pregnant women, postpartum women and newborns.

We talked with Jitka not only about her field of study, which revolves around the most fascinating moments in a person's life, but also about her membership in the student chamber of the Academic Senate of the VŠPJ, whose new composition is currently being decided in the ongoing elections. We also stopped by her work in the South Bohemian digital television studio Ladislav Faktor Studios and her hobbies, which include photography.

Because Jitka lives in České Budějovice, we were unable to meet in person at the VŠPJ due to the epidemic situation at the time of recording the podcast. Our interview was conducted via Zoom, so please excuse the reduced quality of the audio recording.
