• Doc. PhDr. Milan Tomka, PhD. (milan.tomka@vspj.cz)

Academic with more than twenty years of experience. He completed his higher education in social work at the University of Trnava. In the past he worked mainly at the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra and at the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic. Since 2012 he has been employed as an academic at the Polytechnic University of Jihlava. He completed his long-term psychotherapeutic training at Charles University in Prague. He focuses on supervision in social services and therapy of women in violent partner relationships. He has worked in several research teams and is currently working on the topic of violence in close relationships.

• Mgr. Jana Volná

Social Law graduate (Palacký University, Faculty of Education, major in Pedagogy - Social Work). Video-interaction trainer, graduate of KBT psychotherapeutic training and other professional courses. Extensive experience in working with Roma people, managing the department of benefits up to the subsistence level, experience with homelessness issues. She is the founder of one of the first "halfway houses". Since 1996, she has been intensively involved in the organization of training of social workers. For 15 years she was the head of the Intervention Centre of the Vysočina Region. Since 2003 pedagogical activity at the University of Social Sciences. Since 2014 external academic worker at the VŠPJ - teaching areas: social pathology, crisis intervention and psychosocial training. Membership in interdepartmental committees at the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic and the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic. Currently, she is mainly involved in training in the field of domestic violence of health care workers.

• Mgr. Martina Černá, Ph.D. (martina.cerna@vspj.cz)

Mgr. Martina Černá, Ph.D. has been working as an academic at the Polytechnic University Jihlava since 2009. Since 2013 she has been the deputy head of the Department of Social Work. She teaches mainly general and social psychology and communication and presentation skills. She is co-author of 3 professional books and a number of professional articles. She is involved in the implementation of research projects in the social field in the framework of various calls. She also works as a psychotherapist and is active in canister therapy and volunteering. For this activity she has been repeatedly awarded by the Vysočina Region.
