The study programme Applied Mechanical Engineering will provide you with a practically oriented bachelor's degree in engineering, especially focusing on design of design and technology of production of products made of modern materials and containing electronically controlled mechanical systems. During your studies, you will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and practical skills in a range of specialist subjects such as machine and plant design, rigid and compliant mechanics, materials science, manufacturing technology, basic automation and control. The general competences of the student in terms of his/her future employment are supported by the teaching of a foreign language and the inclusion of subjects developing economic and managerial competences and soft-skills in the areas of production economics, quality management, logistics, communication and presentation, project management and teamwork. The curriculum is strongly practically oriented so that students gain deeper knowledge and connections between theory and its implementation in practical problem solving during their studies.

Applications should only be submitted electronically via the e-applicationThe admission fee is CZK 650,- and must be paid no later than the closing date of the application round (if you do not enrol, the fee will not be refunded). Further payment instructions (account number, variable symbol) find it in the electronic application. The fee must be paid again for each round of admissions.

Applications in the 2nd and 3rd supplementary rounds will only be allowed provided that the number of applicants already admitted in the 1st basic round is not already full.

What subjects will you study?

A list of the courses you will take during your studies can be found in the Curriculum tab below on this page. The study also includes a long-term internship (14 weeks).
Instruction in the combined mode of study is delivered exclusively on Saturdays. Each semester requires attendance on approximately twelve to fourteen teaching Saturdays.
