Integral Calculus, The Grandmother and the Meaning of Life | Prof. Ing. Miloslav Okrouhlík, CSc.

Format: Lecture

Objective: What does a university degree in engineering entail? We will show you that things need to be seen in context, that information on the internet is not knowledge in itself, and that the ability to be able to solve an engineering problem requires skills in addition to isolated information. These include knowledge of working tools such as engineering multiplication tables, which can be thought of as integral calculus. The goal will also be to trivially communicate that learning requires some effort on the part of the student.

Content:

  • Introduction and motivation
  • Author's notes
  • Information and knowledge
  • For teaching and testing
  • What students should do
  • What to recommend to students? A happy engineer?

Help: Presentation in PPT format

From Structured Programming to Object-Oriented Programming | Ing. Marek Musil

Form: Lecture

Objective: The aim of the lecture is to convey and introduce the principles of object-oriented programming. The audience is expected to have a basic knowledge of structured programming style, the audience will learn object-oriented programming principles following the knowledge of structured programming principles. Suitable for high school students who have knowledge of structured programming from classroom instruction.

Content: Object-oriented programming style (object-oriented programming), principles, benefits, comparison with structured programming style, application of object-oriented style in application development, practical examples and demonstrations.

Computer 3D Modelling and Virtual Prototyping | Ing. Bc. Karel Dvořák, Ph.D.

Format: Presentation (PPT, PDF), 3D PDF, video presentation.

Objective: To introduce the audience to the current trends in creating virtual prototypes in the form of 3D models and 3D documentation.

Scope:

  • Basic principles of creating 3D models,
  • Principles of creating 3D virtual prototype assemblies,
  • Procedures performed on 3D models, drawings, simulations, and the preparation of manufacturing technologies,
  • Transmission of information contained in virtual prototypes.
  • Overview and availability of 3D computer tools.

Tools: None

Lecturer: Ing. Bc. Karel Dvořák, Ph.D.

Introduction to game theory or how to optimally rock-paper-scissors | doc. Ing. Libor Pekař, Ph.D.

Format: PPT presentation (text, images)

Objective: To introduce students to the basic principles of the simplest type of game (two-player zero-sum game), i.e. its representation, optimal strategy (Nash equilibrium) and the computational principle of finding it, using an attractive example of the well-known rock-paper-scissors game.

Contents:

  • Decision situation (conflict) vs. game theory
  • Types (divisions) of games and players
  • The zero-sum finite game for 2 players and its representations
  • "Unambiguous" optimal solution vs "ambiguous" optimal solution
  • Simplex table - optimal solution of the rock-paper-scissors game
  • Used and recommended literature

Aids: Not necessary, possibly pencil and paper

Lecturer: doc. Ing. Libor Pekař, Ph.D.

Use of drones and new rules regulating the operation of drones | PaedDr. František Smrčka, Ph.D.

Objective: To explain to students the use of drones at the College of Polytechnics of Jihlava. In addition, students will be introduced to the rules for drone operation, including cases of violation of aeronautical discipline.

Content: Use of drones at the College of Polytechnics Jihlava, new regulations for drone operation, and where to fly a drone.

Lecturer:PaedDr. František Smrčka, Ph.D.
