Objective: To explain to students the concepts of trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, and post-traumatic growth and to point out that trauma can be an opportunity for growth.

On mental health with people with their own experience | Mgr. Vlasta Řezníková, Ph.D.

Form: Experience workshop

Objective: Co-creation of coping strategies through respect, sharing and self-knowledge. The workshop involves people who have their own experience of mental illness.

Scope: Mental health, recovery, self-knowledge

Aids: Computer, data projector, speakers, paper, markers, maximum capacity 15 people

Lecturer: Lecturers with their own experience of mental health difficulties, guaranteed by: PhDr. Vlasta Řezníková, Ph.D.

 

Positive Psychology | Mgr. Martina Černá, Ph.D.

Form: Seminar

Objective: The aim of the seminar will be to introduce students to this new psychological trend, explain related concepts and show the benefits that positive psychology can bring to the personal and professional lives of young people.

Scope: Positive psychology, flow, mindfulness

Life with Disability | Mgr. Markéta Dubnová, PhD.

Form: Experience workshop

Objective: The aim of the workshop is to introduce students to the lives of people with disabilities and to make them think about the obstacles and limitations these people face in their everyday lives and how much effort they have to make to meet the basic needs of life. Through the workshop, students will gain personal experience that will help them deepen their empathy and overcome their fears when they encounter people with disabilities in their everyday lives.

Scope:

In this workshop, students will experience:

  • wheelchair movement and wheelchair handling,
  • drunk driving simulation (driving a "drunk and dangerous" model car),
  • simulated visual impairment using specially adapted glasses,
  • walking with a blind stick (in cooperation with Tyflocentrum Jihlava).
