Polytechna was great in every way and I love to remember it. I think of myself as a freaked out freshman looking for one of the first classes and confusing the floor and the classroom and getting in another one🙈. Or the final exam where I pulled out a topic and field I'd been talking about for an awful long time and hadn't really studied much for because I was already doing exactly that at work 😉. I remember my awesome advisor at undergrad, graduation, funny psychology classes, student nights, ... Memories abound, experiences too. Keep being such a cool "family" school, because you just can't not love a college like that.

I have learned to be independent and I am very positive about the information we have been getting from the behaviour in the interviews. I applied the knowledge I gained in my first interview to my current job in the banking sector and found that really everything we were told in lectures worked in practice. The compulsory internship was a great help to me as my undergraduate work was focused on the company, which allowed me to follow everything and get the information I needed. In preparation for employment, the internship gave me an insight into the banking sector in particular, and thanks to this I could get a rough idea of what the work of client service staff entails in the future. I would also like to mention the sports department, of which I have fond memories. I learnt to play sports regularly and thanks to the sports trips I have a lot of funny stories and experiences. Currently, I am in my second year of employment in the banking sector as a Client Worker II. Since I studied Finance and Management, I can say that my major at school matches my job description. Since October 2016, I have returned to the classroom as part of a follow-up Master's degree at the Czech University of Agriculture in Public Administration. This is a continuation of my studies at the Polytechnic University of Jihlava.

My first university study right after graduation didn't work out. Many years later, I decided to try my luck again by studying while working. I wouldn't have tried it if it weren't for the University of Applied Sciences, I didn't want to commute far. It wasn't always easy, but it worked out. Two more years at VŠE FM in Jindřichův Hradec followed. Today I am Ing. :-) and I like going back to both schools.

A couple of years ago, I would have said that an extra six months of school for an internship really didn't make me happy. But now I'm really grateful for it. Studying at VŠPJ has taught me a lot of things, and not only from the compulsory subjects. What is taught in lectures and practicals is quite similar at all schools of the same field. The important thing is what you learn outside of them. Courses will never teach you what you need in the real world afterwards. Your surroundings will teach you that. The people you meet and talk to. And I'm really grateful for what the people I've met have taught me. Whether it was teachers, students, school staff or even just random lecturers or passers-by.
